A Good Investment?

Dreams are expensive. Think about it...they cost time, energy, sleep, frustration, your money, your comfort and so much more. They can also leave you feeling quite isolated, in a place where you feel no one really understands. You create an entire mental reality centered around this one, consuming thought. A dream can actually be quite the risky space to step into. However, the question that undoubtedly will separate those who pursue dreams from those who keep them at a distance is, how much are you willing to invest?

I realized lately that investments aren't just found in my 401K or mutual funds, but also come from my everyday decisions and actions. We all invest daily in what we deem to be most valuable. Your choices determine your portfolio. In my pursuit of rapping and getting my music out, I've learned that I must be the first and primary investor in my dream. I've also learned that risk is inherent to any investment, as there is no way to determine the level of expected return to come at some future time. However, I am learning that I must continually fight my doubts and believe in myself if I ever expect anyone else to. I have to face the truth about if my dream is really worth it.

I have, now more than ever, began to invest in getting this project out and making it amazing. I am investing time, my comfort and money to make this something that will be great in the end. I don't think I have ever stepped into this place of investing in a dream before, but I am learning that I have to be about it now. I don't know all that is to come, but I believe that it will be worth it for me to step into risk for what I hold dear. I have began investing in what I believe. So, the question I wanted to leave you with is, what level of investment are your dreams worth?
